The corporate sector as a whole is facing some challenges either via weaker growth or higher rates. Despite the opportunity as bank retreats, we do need to navigate this space quite carefully. The dry powder of private credit has risen 11 times since 2007. How do these managers deploy capital? Do they lend and the covenant light loans? Or are they very careful about the structure to avoid default and all that? It will be quite key to monitor.
