The Cost of Neglected Friendships

In research for her second book, man up, rebecca asher says men told her that from senior school on, friendships often became stilted. An american book called dude, you're a fag tells us why. She says, intimate, emotionally open behaviour is deemed gay, so boys refrain from that. They withdraw from their friendships. And then when they get into m couples, what tends to happen, and certainly once they have children, is that the friendships tend to be sort of organized and mediated through the female partner.
