Is Coarchation a Cause of Hypertension?

Around 10 to 20% of patients with coarchation can get hypertension. The risk is greater in those who were repaired after age five. In addition to aneurysms of the aorta, somewhere between 8 and 10% of patients will develop intracranial aneurysm.
