The Moral Difficulty of Marijuana

In the Catholic moral tradition, alcohol becomes problematic when it precludes someone or inhibits their reason. When you get to a point that you're so high that you're not able to use your faculties of reason, then we have the same level of sinfulness as if we were drinking more than is natural. But in the case of alcohol, we're talking about something that is not only natural, but it's commestible, it's nutritive and builds us up.
