The Different Types of Silicones

Even the silicones that are water soluble moving on to the next type of silicone, isn't necessarily what you think it is. They're typically packed into what we call a silicone micro emulsions. So as a formulator, I could just pick it up with my pipette and pop it into my beaker without any solubility repercussions. Although there are some versions like the dimethic canals, which have OH groups on them, that are water insoluble.
