The Chilean Army and the Nazis in the Second World War
In the late 19th century, a lot of German military advisors formed the Chilean armed forces. A new lieutenant general who had been trained by German officers named Augusto Pinochet sympathized with the Nazis and expressed his enchantment with Erwin Rommel. Colonia Dignidad's expertise in torture made them a perfect auxiliary to the DINA, or DINA Pinochet's Secret Police Force.
