Confirmation Bias - The Limits of Our Knowledge
Most people are not well versed in the best arguments against their cherished views. Confirmation bias draws our attention to arguments that reinforce our beliefs, and we tend to ignore or diminish arguments that run counter to our beliefs. We can't move outward along a branch as far as we think we can. It's very likely that there are branches of the trix that we aren't even aware of. And within the branches that we do have access to, our understanding is often more shallow than we think it is.
