tales of large, hairy wild men are pretty much guaranteed wherever you look. The belief in these creatures is universal amongst tibetans and the name for those creatures was quickly given to him. In russia, there is a creature known as the chuchuna, which is said to live way out in the siberian wilderness, taller than a human, covered in hair and on to violence. Half way around the world, in the philippines, there are similar stories about an ape-sized man called amamango. According to reports, the creature has been blamed for slaughtered stock and even the disappearance of people.
