Introduction

A series of conversations were recorded with a number of researchers and designers who had gathered to reflect on the state of design. Arcevus have identified this particular conversation, box zero five zero, tape number zero two from the windemere tapes, as an ietif component, of the third evolution of the near future laboratory. This seems to take place at a point where the notion of an alternative location of value creation and production is on the minds of the next revolution in design, technology and research. We now know that this original problem statement, purpose to create products from the future, is what launched the third Evolution of the near Future Laboratory.
