McKinsey has advised at least 26 of the 96 companies that China has designated as very central enterprises. These are state-owned companies managed by Beijing, and their CEOs are picked by the organization department of the Communist Party. The Pentagon is also a client, a much bigger client than any Chinese company. So there's a real conflict of interest there.
