Mastery Focus Goals - What's Really Nice About Them?
There are a lot of benefits of incorporating some mastery focus goals for sure. When you master a new skill it has a huge boost for your self-efficacy related to your goal. A study by Sharif and shoe looked into the idea of something called slack with a cost. They found that having an emergency reserve led to the highest rates of success in terms of actually achieving the goal so there's some value to having this emergency reserve.
