In 2008, I participated in a Vipassana meditation retreat at the Mind and Life Summer Research Institute. That was really my introduction to it in a retreat format. And so there were grad students and postdocs from a whole bunch of different people's labs there. It was a very interesting experience that informed how I think about the Buddhism science dialogue.
