How Greg Chappell Created Wide Practice for Cricket
One of our big wins was working with the Australian Academy, AIS cricket academy in Brisbane. When Greg Chappell took over he wanted to make practice more realistic and more relevant. He said that centre-wicket is batonball as people fall in a sleep in the field. And then he described an activity he'd done when he was coaching India where he'd put a net around from mid-wicket running round behind the stumps out to extra cover. So there's a net all around there, but left the ground open down the ground because he was trying to get them to hit down the ground rather than being very risky.
