The Importance of Pump Action Shotguns
Amy had four rounds of ammunition. One was fired into her bedroom wall. One at Seth. A third round was in her jacket, and the fourth was loaded into the pump action chamber of the gun. To use a pump action shotgun, which Amy did, you do something called wrecking the slide. The only way to chamber another round is to pump it again.
