After louis failed to intimidate the third estate during another disastrous royal cession, the duke de orleans was the one who led the delegation of forty seven nobles into the now self proclaimed national assembly. This left no doubt in the minds of the king's immediate family that the duc de orlean was orchestrating the revolution to oust them from power and get himself crowned king. But though this all looks really suspicious, orlean is actually not much of an arch puppeteer.
