Worship Transforms the Worshipper
Worship is an experience with god that transforms the worshipper. I don't think god wants us to worship him and praise him because he needs his ego stroke. It's because he knows it changes us. If you're not in the presence of god, you don't feel his presence. That's why i read the psalms till i feel the spirit before i pray. We change during a prayer as well. Get all the hard and negative and wrong feelings out that god already knows. Just talk to him about it. And back to the fatherhood image of god.
