We already knew that the right hemisphere could be conscious, and then we seem to have forgotten that over a hundred years of doing neurology. People who develop normally can certainly live well with a right hemisphere. But if somebody's had only one hemisphere from birth, which can sometimes happen, you're dealing with something rather different. And now t now, this kind of thing can be discovered during routine neuro imogine. A fully intact person is, in fact, missing a sphere, and have been their entire lives.
