The Relationship Between Philosophy and Poetry

The word democracy itself in English is not entirely stable in meaning. It comes from the ancient Greek for people's government, but those people are actually a subset of the people. In wicked men, there is a democracy of wild lusts and passions - so they're democratic. Many people may know more obviously about romantic ideas from the poets than they do from philosophers who wrote about similar things.
