When you think about the mystics within Christendom as the dominant cultural framework they do have this kind of poetics that's there it generates their own encounters with the divine but also the kind of space that made him alluring and attractive and compelling to others. So because neoliberalism in some sense over the history of the West you had this time where in the wars of religion you have the state become the placeholder right. No longer is there shared Christendom in the West the states there it ends the wars of religious 30 years war all that kind of stuff. But when I think of the function Christendom played so that the mystical poetics of the Rhineland generate this possibility
