Introduction
The forest of Gabon covers 88% of our space. A dead tree is worth much more money than one still in the ground. Some experts argue that it's because these incredible eco-services aren't valued, that we're losing our forests. Preparations are underway for a once-in-a-generation meeting to decide if and how the environment will be incorporated into the way we measure and rank economies. If it happens, it could be the biggest shift we've seen in how we measure economic performance in 70 years.
