When you are in this policy field your mindset has to be different in two fundamental ways from anything else you did before. Even those incremental change at scale can make a huge difference to people but in ways that cannot be traced back to your work quantified sometimes. You're playing the long game there's no immediate gratification there's no payoff if you're working in a company for example and you implement something who pay off the tag like water may sales will go up or sales will go down shit will happen. There is no credit there is no causality that can be kind of given to you your validation doesn't come from measurable results right.
