Ground squirrels go through what are called interbout arousals during their hibernation cycle, where they go from almost freezing back up to 37 degrees celsius in a matter of hours. They will be almost completely tal phosphorelated during the bots torpor bouts and that is cleared at the peak of the innerbot arousals. So thereare, thereare extreme penotypes like that that have been well studied that histologically, that now we're truing to study genetically  to figure out what's driving them.
