Socrates - The Path to the Good Life

What matters is what's going on inside your head and anything else that's of value, well does it work, we'll fall out from that rather than being something that we can acquire by virtue of being Russian. It's almost a religious stance isn't it? The path to the good life is to have a knowledgeable mind, knowledgeable soul, would that be right? Well, there's certainly something like contemplation going on a lot of the time. And one of the things that first made me fall in love with Socrates was the description when I first read it of the scene at the beginning of the symposium.
