Macon's theory could be applied to pulp, trashed radham stuff like Clark Ashton Smith's Zothique stories for example. And so we can imagine different kinds of language as being utterances that are shot through with light but in a very different ways. This emanationalist model here really comes into its own because it gives us a way of understanding poetry or fine writing art literature as Macon would say. In a way you could conform a lot of what Campania is saying about these middle emanations of magic with Macon's theory.
