The Rise and Fall of 10 Minute Grocery Delivery
In 2021, the hottest trend was QuickCommerce. A couple of 19 year olds convinced investors that they could perfect ultra quick delivery. Swiggy raised money and instead of spending it on its core food delivery business, set aside 5500 crore rupees just for quick commas. For Instamart, Ola launched its own 10 minute delivery promise with Ola Dash. Even Reliance jumped into the fray with GeoMart Express which delivered in 90 minutes.
