Sri Ram: The world has gotten too big and we need an elite class of managers. He says they're going to hold themselves above the population, think that they know best even when they don't. They'll have a new kind of educational background with things like business schools, or by the way, schools of government, right? Sri Ram: What we do is we fund the throwbacks. Elon Musk's a throwback to Henry Ford. And why do we do this? It's because companies that are run in the managerial mode don't do new things.
