The White House's Response to the Colombian Government's Refusal to Accept Flights
Colombia refused to accept a plane carrying its citizens who tried to enter the US unlawfully but were caught. The Colombian government, led by a leftist president named Gustavo Pedro, said that they were refusing flights because of the inhumane conditions and poor treatment of their citizens from our border. In response to that allegation of inhumane treatment and refusal to accept the plane, the White House made a series of promises to fix the situation,. Although it's not clear what the promises were that they made. But the Colombian government said that those promises were enough to allow the flights to continue.
