Studying Psilocybin for Alcohol Use Disorder

The researchers were not able to say how effective the blinding was in this particular study. There's another pretty recent trial of psilocybin that showed a marketed reduction in heavy alcohol use, like much a bigger reduction compared to what was seen in a psychotherapy plus placebo. But when they looked, they actually assessed, you know, were patients able to guess what treatment group they were in? And almost 94% of people in that sub, in that study were able to correctly guess their treatment assignment.
