Is the University in a Precarious Position?
Universities seem, in many ways, to be in a very pe arious position. But the customers they're accepting are different to the customers that they used to accept. Many have now realized that learning to code outside of the university system confers almost all the advantages and more with none of the drawbacks of the university. The knowledge needed to succeed in the modern knowledge economy might be better found outside the university system. So if universities want to attract the best, at least on social media, some marketing from academics may be in order.
