The Luckiest Decision I Made as a Botany Major
Dick Schulte was a professor at Harvard who did extensive studies in the new world tropics. He lived and continuously in the Amazon from 1939 to 1953 studying orchids. His dissertation on Coyote among the Chaiwan Indians is well-known but he himself didn't use it. The best book about Dick Schulte's work is probably One River by Wade Davis.
