Is Your to-Do List a Memory or an Age Right?

I really have a hard time with to do lists because I always do things and then I can't write them so in my monthly retrospectives I'll at the end of each retrospective I'll set goals for the following month. As an indie founder it's easy to kind of like lose sight of the the high-level goals that you're trying to achieve. If you don't set specific things that you're wanting to achieve, you could go down the rabbit hole on something that doesn't matter. You can spend a month polishing your website but if you sit down and thought about it beforehand you would probably realize what is preventing you from gaining new users or gaining customers.
