The Difference Between Synthesis and Contradiction

A lot of TV, like if you're going to find a narrative form that's guilty of synthesis, where you have some act one problem, some act two complicating of the problem. I mean, like that's, that describes a lot of television, right? So you would not be wrong to accuse TV of being a synthetic medium in precisely that sense. Or a bad haggelier. Yeah. And we typically don't think such things are helpful or liberatory but they become necessary for an emancipatory collective emerging. That is exactly at this point that we see what is theoretically at stake in the bottle episode. This is about conflict until it becomes hardened as a genuine contradiction
