Is the Point of These Hearings to Lay T and Connect the Dots?

Committee member: We just have an absolute mountain of evidence about what took place. This was an act of violence in the nation's capital unlike anything any of us has ever seen before. The investigation launched by the department of justice, i believe, is the most massive and sweeping criminal investigation by the d o j in its history. Nothing else even comes close to it.
