The Santas's Rebranding of the Campaign

Matt Welch: DeSantis's attempts at rebranding or rebooting his campaign haven't resulted in him gaining ground in the polls. He says there is a structural issue affecting the DeSantis campaign, which is under the direct control of the candidate and then has an affiliated super pack that can raise unlimited sums of money but isn't allowed to coordinate with it. Welch: I think he had a plan. He thought that he could kind of outsmart everybody. And what he's finding out is you can't. You have to kind of take a very direct, simple approach to running for president.
