Christopher Hitchens' Political Orientation
Christopher Hitchens grew up in an upwardly mobile middle class family. He was recruited into a group called the International Socialists, which would later become the Socialist Workers Party. By some time in the mid 70s, it's pretty clear that the revolution is happening anytime soon and so he sort of moves out of that but retains his basic socialist commitments for decades after this point.
