TikTok and the U.S.
GOP in the House forced through a bill Wednesday that could effectively ban TikTok from all mobile devices in the U.S. The legislation would grant the president new authorities to ban foreign-owned apps and would require sanctions on companies with ties to TikTok or other Chinese-owned apps. But like I mentioned, the GOP in the House isn't really waiting for that. They're set to testify before the House Energy and Commerce Committee later this month about the platform's relationship with the Chinese Communist Party.
