What Are Weeds?
In western Canada, foresters were trying to get rid of the native plants. They thought they were competing with valuable conifer trees like pines and firs. But in fact these weedsd what foresters called weeds, were actually connected to the fir in the pines,. And that they form this enormous web below ground, like an internut. Through that internut, they exchange information and resources like water and nutrients and carbon - helping each other out.
