The Problem With Forecasts
Many forecasters believe or seem to believe that other people should believe that their forecasts are valid. They're not saying this is my best guess, but it's really unlikely to be correct. So I think if they all backed off from making the forecast in the first place, then that would probably help a lot because it would make people kind of have to look at the data themselves apart from anyone else.
