Do I Need to Go to a Major Trauma Center?
You absolutely need to provide the essentials of care to the highest quality you can but always just thinking in the back of your mind does this need to be done here can I do it on route and how do I get this patient to hospital as rapidly as possible. Other tools have now got things like the clinician remains concerned in there which would obviously mean that you could divert to an MTC if you felt that was appropriate. And that conversation with that trauma team lead is really really important because we've got to remember that different regions are going to have different setups and skill sets even when you're going to a major trauma center.
