The BBC is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, so we take a look back at where it came from and where it's going. It was founded in 1927 as a radio news service but went into public hands in 1927 when it became incorporated under a royal charter. And not long after that, the World Service International Broadcast came onto the airwaves.
