How to Use AI to Protect Client Data
In 1986, Congress enacted the Electronic Communications Privacy Act. It provided that emails stored more than six months are far less protected from a privacy standpoint than emails stored less than six months. That law is still on the books and it's coming up in 40 years. So let's talk about how attorneys use AI. Are there any ethical considerations? Do we need to disclose to the client that we're using AI?
