The First African American President

I'm surprised about how much that matters to my students. So when I see women students on campus there oh my god I'm fan girl. When I see African American students on campus they're just so proud. And so representation matters. At this institution we've always had a priest in the position of president and that it manifests itself in very interesting ways on campus as well as with our students but I find that you know, students want to be seen in faculty want to be heard and staff want to know that they matter.
