The Mysterious Feeling of Strophic Form

Three bar riff that has a slightly unbalanced feeling almost finishes before you might expect it We're so used to hearing things in two and four and eight bar phrases particularly in rock and pop music. The chords that underpin the riff are a foreshadowing of what we hear in the second half of the verse. This is the only moment we hear actually a note or chord that's outside of the key and it really enriches the mysteriousness of the song It like something you'd find in a folk song which would be called Strophic Form where each of the sections of the song Has the same music set to different words.
