The Battle of the Nile
Nelson had a complicated relationship with his own mortality, and often believed he was going to die. Nelson wasn't angry with Blackwood, he was implying that the coming battle would be his last. Between his somewhat dramatic personality, his lust for glory, and his almost messianic sense of mission, I do think it's possible that some part of him liked the idea of dying at the moment of his greatest triumph. Then again, I have to wonder if a person who harbored such deep feelings of love for Lady Emma and his young daughter could ever wholeheartedly wish for death.
