Mary Reynolds: A Woman of Her Time

I think she's both a woman of her time. She might write us like Sylvia Plath. Margaret Jusano, who wrote The Great Memoirs of Hadrian and other the great historical novel of the sort of fifties or sixties. And one of the interesting things about all her stories is that she never lets her, her characters dwell on their trauma. They're always about overcoming it. So I'm sure that there were all sorts of uncomfortable things, you know, in her that she sort of squished down like like Homer Simpson.
