In a 1997 study, 36 questions were shown to be able to make strangers feel close to each other. And the 40 original prompts, at least in one case, sparked a romantic connection. The New York Times asked psychologist Arthur Aaron if he had scans of the original questions that led to two people falling for each other. He found them and shared them with the world on Twitter.
