The Church of Christ on Earth
The church finds the ground of its existence not in the expression of the will of its members, but in the pleasure of its lord and head, jesus christ. One belongs to this people by birth and is baptized by one spirit into one body. That body is the church of christ on earth. He gathers it by his word and spirit, here, there, elsewhere, the whole world over,. And gives it a form through the offices he established. Now let me pause right there. Stop.
