Is Astro a Static Site Generator?
Astro is a new type of framework to attack SSR and people kind of getting tired of single page app frameworks, basically hogging all the resources. It's designed in such a way that your page is mostly static. And then you just put some islands on there and solid actually works with it. For sites that need the maximum performance when they load, like e-commerce, this is not good.
