The Carnival of Persephone
On the so-called veil of despoyna, drawing of carved stone relief, classical Greece, approximately fourth century BC, we find curious comic animal forms. Down in the Peloponnese we find Corre dancers of a wild kind associated with the Virgin Goddess despoyna. This is reminiscent of the animal headed figures one finds in the Tantric Buddhist traditions, the Dakini, the Space Fairies and it suggests to the idea of a carnival. Carnival is that period of no law that comes between the time of the two eons. If you take life absolutely seriously you must realize there's the counterplay to it, that the world of law is simply an optional world
