Optimism and Hope

Psychologists think that optimism and hope are related to one another but distinct optimism is the belief that the future will turn out well in some way. Hope actually is not thought of as the belief that things will turned out well it's the belief that they could turn out well that there is possibility. Pessimism or cynicism also makes us feel like we don't need to do anything because it won't make any difference anyways hope is this sense of I would say a poignant uncertainty that the future is unwritten and that we don't know that things could get much worse or they could get better.
